Fantastic little hidden garden, the place looks very dodgy when you are met with an iron door at the end of a long narrow lane but its beautiful inside and very well kept. I'd highly recommend it if you want to get away from the madness of the old town.
The guest house owner was very friendly and helpful. He gave us lots of information about the local area and recommended some good places to eat. He even allowed us to sample some of his delicious home grown vino! The location is convenient for the port and bus station for trips to the islands or futher afield. You can walk to the old part of Dubronivk which takes about 20-25mins, but there are also local buses to take you to the Pile Gate where you can begin your exploration of the old city and its walls.
Tom, the owner of the guest house, is very considerate and helpful. He gave us very good advises about sightseeings around Dubrovnik. The apartment(ie studio) in which we stay was very spacious and comfortable. It was nicely decorated and very clean. As it was close to the ferry trrminal and to the bus station the location was perfect for us. And yet the bus stop for the old town and Cavtat is almost next door.
When we arrived the owner told us he had double booked the apartment,he did arrange alternative accomodation which was very poor. Day 2,as our apartment was still not ready we left our luggage and went into the old town,we were not given a key, when we returned that night we had a lot of bother rousing the owner, who has a general attitude of resentment towards his guests. I recommend avoiding the Bokun Guesthouse.
the guest house is the near the ferry and coach terminal. You can get to the old town in 5 minutes by bus. It's about 50 metres off the main street, so it's not noisy, and it has a beautiful garden with a terrace covered by kiwi trees. Overall I would say that it's very nice and clean.
Unfortunately they don't serve breakfast.
Toni was very friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely very quiet and relaxing after a busy day of sight seeing. We enjoyed our stay at the Bokun Guesthouse.
Friendly staff and great location. It is like staying at a friend’s house. We are Americans and arrived after dark and not familiar with European narrow passages to hotels. We were concerned when the taxi dropped us off. There was only a small sign out front. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
location was handy to bus stop,
because the garden door was left open we did not know how to alert the owners when we arrived, the manner of the owner was not helpful shower had far too much mould on the grouting, soap and shampoo in the shower from the previous quest, wonder whether it had been cleaned.the bottom sheet was extremely thin, the shared fridge allowed people to help themselves
Owner very nice and funny. A little bit far from the old town, but easy to get there by bus. Room very clean.
VERY VERY VERY lovely people!! really nice and helpful looking to go again thanks Toni!!
Room wasn't too expensive but also not cheap. Breakfast was offered at 40 kunas P.P.
Internet didn't work in the room; guy slept instead of picking us up from the airport; only Croatian tv channels, 10 min by bus to the old town
If you are arriving by bus, train or ferry this is the perfect location. Great atmosphere & good value for money. Toni (the owner) & his family are friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed our stay here very much and will certainly stay there again if and when we return to Dubrovnik.
Free Wi-Fi in room, Lovely gardens.
A family run guesthouse offering excellent accommodation in a convenient part of Dubrovnik for visiting the old city and connecting to travel links with bus/ferry/airport.Friendly owners/staff and a peaceful haven amidst the bustle - very enjoyable and comfortable place to stay.
Toni, his Mom & Dad, great hosts. Beautiful garden setting. Low key and quiet even in middle of town. Very welcoming. Airport service much appreciated. Good advice on things to do. Convenient to busses and bank and nearby open air market. Convenient to ferry. Free internet connection.
Nothing we did not like.
